My journey to London, day two

Dag twee was ik al vroeg uit de veren en stond ik om 10 uur alweer buiten. Dit keer was ik beter voorbereid op de koud en heb alles over elkaar heen getrokken. Voor mijzelf had ik een hele planning uitgestippeld wat ik wilde zien deze dag. De dag begon met een gezamenlijk bezoek met de klas aan het Victoria & Albert museum, daarna was je vrij om te gaan en staan waar je wilde. De tijd heb ik zeker goed benuttigd en heb veel kunnen zien, wat een mooie inspiratie volle stad is London! 

Day two it was a early morning for me, at 10am I was on my why to the subway station. This time I was better prepared for the cold weather and have everything pulled over each other. For myself, I had a whole plan what I wanted to do that day. The day began with visit the Victoria & Albert Museum with the class, then you was free to go wherever you wanted.  What a beautiful inspirational city is London!

Victoria & Albert museum

When I stepped out of the subway station it was a little bit of searching to find how I had to walk to the museum. When you walk around you could see many beautiful buildings where several museums are located. The museum has several floors, each with a different time era. Of course we came only for the fashion section, which I found very interesting at all. The fashion section was only very small, maybe I had myself perhaps expected more. A great advantage to all museums here in London is that the entrance is free.

Harrods 

When it comes to window display, I think that London have the most beautiful windows. Each of them have their own story. In my other post you saw the windows of Selfridge. Now you see the windows of Harrods. This year is the year of the snake, here they have their own story given it with the theme of the year of the snake. There are not many words to say how clever it is made.

I can tell you at the end of the day I had short legs of walking. Seen a lot and of course lots of shopping. The next time in another outfit post I will show you what I've bought al these days.

My journey to London, my first day

Het is alweer een tijdje geleden alweer dat ik voor het laatst iets gepost heb op m'n blog. De laatste tijd erg druk gehad met studie en werk waardoor het bloggen er een beetje is ingeschoten. Zoals jullie weten ben ik eind februari een paar dagen naar London geweest en hier is dan mijn verslag hoe ik het deze dagen gehad heb. Ik hoop dat jullie met plezier weer mijn blog lezen. 

It's been a while ago that I posted something on my blog. It was very busy with study and work which makes the reason that I was stopped with blogging. As you know I was visiting London at the end of February for a few days. As you can see here is my report how it was in London these days. I hope you will be happy again with reading my blog.

Het hostel Palmers Lodges Swiss Cottage

Het was voor mij de aller eerste keer dat ik in een hostel sliep, maar ik kan jullie vertellen wat is dit mij goed bevallen! Vanaf de metrohalte was het 2 minuten lopen, natuurlijk had je geen idee hoe je lopen moest, maar dat het zo simpel was wist ik ook niet. Een prima verbinding met de metro richting het hostel. Ik kan jullie vertellen dat ik het heel erg naar mijn zin heb gehad, veel nieuwe mensen leren kennen. En de sfeer in het hostel was erg gezellig. Het hostel waar ik verbleef is een pand uit de Victoriaanse stijl en dat ik voor het eerst een stap over de drempel deed was er al meteen een warm en huiselijk gevoel. Ik sliep op een kamer met 5 andere meiden uit verschillende landen. De kamer was niet groot en bestond uit 3 stapelbedden. Zoals je hieronder ziet krijg je een beetje een idee hoe de kamer eruit zag. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en hielp je graag als je ergens niet uitkwam. Ook was er een gezellige woonkamer waar je kon zitten en eventueel een film kon kijken. Het hostel was erg schoon en netjes en het ontbijt was ook prima. Als jullie van plan zijn om een keer London te gaan bezoeken, kan ik jullie zeker aanraden om te overnachten in het hostel. 

For me it was the first time that I stay in a hostel, but I can tell you it was great. From the tube it was a 2 minute walk to the hostel, of course you had no idea how you would walk, but it was so simple I didn't know. If you are staying in a hostel is nice that you meet new people. And the atmosphere in the hostel was very cozy. The hostel where I stayed is a building from the Victorian style. The staff was very friendly it was a welcoming and homely feel. I slept in a room with 5 other girls from different countries. The room was not large and consisted of 3 bunk beds. As you can see below you get an idea of ​​how the room was looked. There was also a cozy living room where you could sit and possibly could watch a movie. The hostel was very clean and the breakfast was fine. If you are planning to visit London once, I can definitely recommend you to stay in this hostel.

Selfridge

Natuurlijk bestonden deze dagen uit shoppen, maar ook wilde ik veel van de stad zien. Als je etalages wilt bewonderen kun je het beste naar London toe gaan, hier maken ze de mooiste etalages vind ik. Ze promoten niet alleen het product, maar maken er ook een heel verhaal achter. Hieronder zie je de etalage van het warenhuis Selfridge, ze hebben hier gewerkt met de kleur wit. Toen ik dit zag dacht ik aan puurheid, reinheid, kracht, naturel en dat de basis altijd sterk en krachtig moet zijn. Binnen in de winkel was het een drukte van jewelste. Je komt natuurlijk binnen bij alle luxe merken en de cosmetica afdeling, er kwam dus al meteen een geur van parfum op je afkomen. De sfeer was erg luxe en dat straalt de hele winkel ook uit. 

Of course that I was shopping these three days, but also I wanted to see the city. If you want to watch shopping windows you must have to go to London, here they make the best windows I think. They promote not only the product, but also they make it with a whole story. Below you see the pictures of the department store Selfridge, they have worked here with the color white. When I saw this I thought of pureness, purity, power, natural, and that the base must always be strong and powerful. Inside the shop it was busy. The atmosphere of the store was very luxurious I think.

New begin

Een tijdje niets van me laten horen, is niet de bedoeling geweest. Maar ik ben weer terug van weggeweest. De laatste tijd best druk gehad met m'n studie waardoor het lastig te combineren viel om nog mijn blog bij te houden. Alweer een maand geleden dat ik mijn laatste post geschreven heb, en in die tussen tijd zoveel gebeurd! Zo hier een paar dingen waar ik de komende tijd over ga posten:

A while you have not heard from me, it is not the intention. But I'm back. Lately quite busy with my studies making it difficult to combine to write on my blog to keep it up. Gisteravond begonnen met het maken van een nieuwe post op m'n blog, het thema al helemaal bedacht. Leuk een outfit samenstellen voor het voorjaar. Ik heb er al helemaal zin in, lekker het warme zonnetje op je gezicht, in de stad buiten een terrasje pakken. Ik had de voorspelling van gister al gehoord, dat er kans was op sneeuw, natuurlijk hoopte ik dat dit niet zou gaan gebeuren, maar helaas vanmorgen dat ik naar buiten keek was alles bedekt met een wit laagje sneeuw. Ik zeg geniet van de outfit die ik heb samengesteld en laten we hopen dat de lente snel van zich laat horen. 

Yesterday evening I was started with making a new post on my blog, I would like to make an outfit specially for the Spring, with the "Graphic" trend. I can't wait when spring begin, with the nice warm sun on your face, in the town outside on a terrace. I had already heard the prediction of yesterday, there was a chance of snow, of course I hoped that this would not happen, but unfortunately this morning I looked outside, everything was covered with a white layer of snow. I say enjoy the outfit I've put together and let us hope that spring quickly makes itself heard.

This is one of my favorite for the Spring season. This is a sweater with two lovely details: a small glitter in the fabric and on the back you have a bow, what gives a fun and playful effect. You can wear this on different ways. Whit a top under it and then you wear the sweater a little bit off shoulder, or you can wear it with a blouse. I think that both of them looks good by a denim jeans and sneakers.

Inspiration | Pretty pastels

Het is nog volop winter, 21 maart begint officieel de lente pas. Dit betekend niet dat we alvast onze kledingkast kunnen gaan klaarmaken voor het voorjaar. Dit jaar gaan we veel frisse pastelkleuren zien. Ik word al helemaal vrolijk als ik alle winkel etalages vol zie staan met inspiratie van trends. Ik hou van de zachte kleuren, het heeft een speels karakter en komt er zacht over. De items die ik heb gekozen zou ik het liefst ook terug willen zien in mijn garderobe. Dit is een style waar ik mij goed bij voel. 

It is still winter, March 21 officially begins the spring. This doesn't mean that we can makes  our wardrobe ready for spring. This year we have many fresh pastel colors. I am certainly happy when I see all the windows in the shopping streets they are filled with inspiration from trends. I love the soft colors, it has a playful character. The items I chose, I hope to see then soon back in my wardrobe. This is a style where I feel good in it.

My Look: Give me some colors

Wat een vies regenachtig weer is het buiten. De sneeuw heeft ondertussen ons land verlaten en heeft plaats gemaakt voor vele regenbuien, af en toe komt de zon even door om gedag te zeggen. Ik kan niet wachten tot de lente begint, de vogels die je hoort fluiten, de bloemen die weer in bloei staan en de natuur dat mooi groen kleurt. Gister was ik in een vrolijke bui en had echt zin om de bloemen buiten te zetten en te knallen met kleur. Vandaar deze vrolijke outfit. Achterin m'n kast m'n vel gekleurde roze broek gezocht, en hierbij een fleurige, vrolijke outfit van gecombineerd. Zoals jullie vast wel gemerkt hebben ben ik gek op sjaals. Ik heb ze in verschillende materialen en dessins. Sommige sjaals heb ik gekocht, maar de meeste zijn vintage en komen bij mijn oma en moeder vandaan.

I can not wait until spring begins.Yesterday I was in a happy mood and was really looking forward to the flowers to drop off and popping with color. Here you see this cheerful outfit. In the back of my closet I was found my skin colored pink pants, using a bright, cheerful outfit combined. As you might have noticed, I love scarves. I have them in different materials and designs. Some scarves I bought, but most are vintage and come from my grandmother and mother's.

Inspiration | New Jeans labels in Amsterdam

Afgelopen weekend was het zover, toen werd er een nieuwe shop in de Bijenkorf te Amsterdam geopend. De shop werd geopend door een grote groep modellen die rondliepen in de jeans van de merken die er verkocht worden. Van een basic jeans tot vel gekleurde broeken, verschillende pasvormen kon iedereen een beeld krijgen wat er zoal verkocht werd. Het was leuk om te zien dat er een army van modellen rondliepen twee aan twee door zo de kleding te showen! Ga zeker een kijkje nemen in de Bijenkorf bij de shop, want het is zeker de moeite waard. Ik heb de broeken nog niet gepast, het is altijd een zoektocht om de juiste jeans te vinden. Hoe is dat bij jullie? 

Last weekend was the day when there was a new shop in the Bijenkorf in Amsterdam opened. The shop was opened by a large group of models who walked around in jeans from the labels that are sold. From a basic jeans and brightly colored pants, different fits everyone could get an idea what is going sold. It was nice to see that there is an army of models walked two by two to show the jeans. If you've been in Amsterdam, come and have a look at this shop, because it is definitely worth it. I have the pants do not fit, it's always a quest to find the right jeans. How is that for you?

Find the right Jeans

When I think of finding the right jeans, It gives me sleepless nights. Many models I like, but if I only once the jeans is always against. I can never find the right fit, it is still a quest for me.
